Wallingford Air Cadets has a close link with the local community. We help out with community events and participate in fund-raising events for charities such as the Cats Protection Society, Help for Heroes, and the Poppy Appeal. We also bag-pack in Waitrose at Christmas as part of raising awareness of the Air Cadets.
The squadron takes part in local parades, for example Wallingford Mayor’s Parade, Remembrance Sunday Parade, and the Andrew Wilding Memorial Parade. We also have close links with the Wallingford Detachment of the Royal British Legion.
Annually, the squadron holds an open day which enables the community and cadets’ parents to see what activities we do in the Air Cadets.
