966 (Wallingford) Squadron

Getting Involved

Good communication between the Squadron, cadet and parents is essential throughout time with the Squadron. There are numerous ways to keep in contact with us.

We welcome communication with parents and are happy to speak to you regarding your son/daughters progress at any point. You may even want to be more actively involved in the Air Cadet Organisation too. If so you can talk to the Commanding Officer about becoming a member of Squadron staff.

As well as the uniformed staff on Squadron the Air Cadet Organisation is supported by a civilian committee. This committee is involved deeply in the running of the Squadron and is key in building links and support with the local community and business. Each Squadron has a civilian committee which consists of parents, friends and ex-squadron members who assist the Commanding Officer to raise funds.

As you can imagine, fundraising is a very important aspect as it supports many of our activities. Most camps and other adventurous pursuits are financed through this fundraising and it’s these efforts which help keep the cost of air cadet membership incredibly low.
