Welcome to the website of 966 (Wallingford) Squadron Air Training Corps part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. The Squadron is situated within the historic town of Wallingford to which it has strong local connections. Our local parent RAF station, RAF Benson is located only a few miles away from the town.
The Air Training Corps (ATC) offers a wide range of activities designed to challenge and develop the cadets. Information on all of these activities can be found on this website.
As a cadet you will have the chance to experience life on a RAF base both within the UK and abroad, however the ATC is not a recruiting organisation for the RAF although many ex-cadets do go on to join various branches of the Armed Services.
The ATC is supported in its various activities by a framework of adult volunteers who are fully vetted and given appropriate training before supervising cadets.
Please feel free to browse this site to see what 966 (Wallingford) Squadron has to offer both cadets and adult volunteers alike. If you have any questions or are interested in joining the Squadron either as a cadet or an adult volunteer please contact us here. The minimum joining age is 12 years and in year 8 at school.
